Talent and creatives from series including The Umbrella Academy, The Lake and Starstruck are among those set for the Master Class lineup at next month’s Banff World Media Festival (BANFF).
Sessions announced Thursday (April 5) include one with The Umbrella Academy Canadian star Elliot Page (pictured left); creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner Steve Blackman; and Netflix’s head of scripted series, U.S. and Canada, Peter Friedlander. They’ll discuss the third season of the Toronto-shot superhero series, premiering June 22 on Netflix.
There will also be a chat with the stars and creative team behind Prime Video’s Ontario-shot comedy series The Lake, produced by Toronto-based Amaze: Canadian actor Jordan Gavaris (pictured right); Julian Doucet, creator, writer and executive producer; Michael Souther, executive producer, Amaze; Teza Lawrence, executive producer, Amaze; and Brent Hayes, head of scripted content, Canada, Amazon Studios.
